In spite of his young age, Gábor Gera owns an extraordinarily large and colourful musical lineup. He begun his musical studies on piano, but became familiar with accordion already in his childhood. He got his degree as a chapelmaster ((chorus-master)) at the Academy of Music in Budapest. He is also a composer – he composed during his studies the music of Róbert Koltai’s film „Megy a gőzös” („Here goes the steamer”), for which he won the musical price of the international film-festival in Spain, called Filma Madrid. He is the member or guest musician of a lot of folklor-, jazz- and world-music bands, with whom he toured already nearly everywhere on Earth. Between 2013 and 2015 he lived and performed in Japan. After his return home, in 2016 did he play in the band Swing a la Django for the first time, but very quickly he became one of the band’s stalwarts.
